Hi! Thanks for coming to my website. I’m a Chicago-based food journalist who has also worked in music journalism. These days, I’m the food & kitchen staff writer at VICE’s shopping page, Rec Room, and I contribute to publications like Chicago Magazine and Eater. I’m especially interested in writing about restaurants, cookbooks, and kitchen products, and I run VICE’s monthly cookbook column, “Flavor Zone.” I’ve talked about food with people like T-Pain, Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy, Eric Wareheim, Katie Parla, Abra Berens, Jing Gao (of Fly By Jing), and The Sporkful podcaster Dan Pashman. Before moving to Chicago, I was the staff writer at Sauce Magazine, St. Louis’ primary independent food magazine, for four years.
